Rose is an active member of the Batten Kill Cooperative Invasive Species Management Association (CISMA), which she was introduced to through her service as an ECO AmeriCorps member serving as Forest Steward at Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home. There she specializes in invasive species management, naturalist observations, and the start-up of a woody native plant nursery. Raised in Shaftesbury, VT, and armed with a degree in Conservation Biology from St. Lawrence University, she is excited to contribute to riparian restoration at such a local level. Fly fishing, besides the memories of the lures her grandfather crafted, will be a novel sport and artform but her passion for biodiversity will surely guide her experience!
